Marine Programme

For most marine users their outboard is the power behind their livelihood or their favourite past-time. At a Honda Marine dealership you will have the opportunity to work on a range of specialist marine products including the class-leading 225hp V6 fuel injected marine engine, and vessels such as RIBs and larger leisure yachts.

The Honda Marine Apprenticeship Programme lasts for two years, during which time you will be employed by your local Honda Marine dealership and attend block training at the Honda Institute Technical Training Centre.

During your Apprenticeship you will receive first class support from a Honda Apprentice & Technician Development Manager and a work place mentor.

By the end of your Apprenticeship programme you will achieve:

Honda’s worldwide Maintenance Technician license
SEMTA Apprenticeship
NVQ level 2 in Engineering Maintenance & Installation
Level 2 Certificate in Boat building, Maintenance & Support
The Key Skills Award
The ‘Honda Challenge’, Personal Development Programme

The training provided as part of the Honda Marine Apprenticeship Programme will be focused around the service and maintenance of Honda marine engines and will gradually build up to include diagnosis and repair techniques.
